From Psalm 51, verses 9-12: "Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me."

Joe was blessed to grow up in a Christian home, where he personally trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 12. Following high school, Joe attended Central Methodist University, Fayette, Missouri where he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Following undergraduate studies, Joe became a member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band in Washington, DC. After his tour with the White House Marine Band, Joe returned to the Midwest where he attended graduate school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City receiving a Master of Arts in music degree from the Conservatory of Music. Joe has taught music in Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Virginia
The Lord led Joe to begin this full time concert music ministry in February, 1998. Since then, Joe has shared with audiences across the United States his musical versatility ranging from classical to inspirational jazz... all done to communicate the message of Jesus Christ. Joe and his wife Karen have been married since 1983. They have three children: Allison, James, and Jarod.
